Giesecke and Devrient GmbH, the German company which supplies currency to Zimbabwe was stopped by the German Government from doing business with Zimbabwe.
Interestingly, the German Government had no qualms when the same firm did business with the White Apartheid regime of Ian Smith. Mugabe could have selected a better currency – maybe the SA Rand would have been a better choice.
